BS-Tech Electrical Services was founded by Dean Banks-Smith as a single contractor in 1998, and to date, operate a team of ten skilled and diverse electricians, apprentices and business support.

Everyone brings something to the team; both skills and personality wise, and this is something we are very proud to host as an employer.

Our senior electricians are trained to train! Apprentices are supported from their sign up and right through their four year apprenticeship with TasTafe.

With regular maintenance on multiple commercial buildings in the Hobart Region, we also work on many new residential builds, re-wiring, switchboard upgrades, refurbishments and additions. Each electrician has a different background and level of experience, bringing with them knowledge across the industry which allows them to problem solve the most challenging of jobs.

From lights in a fully landscaped garden, to re-wiring old homes, switchboard upgrades and project homes, it’s fair to say at BS Tech, we like what we do! We enjoy working with our customers to create solutions for commercial and residential requests.

While we are across many types of electrical works, we do seem to have an attraction to lights. Lighting is an electrical component you can see, upgrade to style and energy efficiency, and be super creative about it.
